Dr. Rose, a Wichita, Kansas, dentist, has been arrested on two felony counts of tampering with or altering a witness.
The Wichita, Kan., Police Department says that Dr. Drew Rose, 59, of Wichita, allegedly made a video that shows him and another person making a video recording of him and other people engaging in physical and sexual misconduct.
Rose was charged with one count of tampering, one count and one count each of sexual misconduct, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and civil rights violation.
Rose has been released on his own recognizance pending a preliminary hearing and has not entered a plea.
Rose is the owner and director of the Rose Clinic, which provides dental care and related services in Wichita, according to his website.
The arrest follows the discovery of a videotape in which Dr. James Ritter, 49, was seen on tape discussing an alleged incident in which a patient and a dentist performed oral sex on a patient.
In a statement, Wichita Police Chief Michael Smith said that the video showed the two dentists engaged in a sexual act and that the alleged acts were witnessed by a witness who saw them at the clinic.
Police say the two dentalists were both arrested on July 19, 2016, in the parking lot of a downtown Wichita hospital.
They were both charged with tampering with a witness, criminal tampering, and criminal trespass.
