A dentist in Montana and a dentist in Florida have been arrested on charges they sold fake braces and sold fake teeth.
Dentist James R. Burdick of Lassen, Montana, and dentist James L. Johnson of Largo, Florida, were arrested on Tuesday on charges that they knowingly sold false teeth and falsified patient records, according to a statement from the Lassens Sheriff’s Office.
Both dentists were taken to the Laconia County Jail and are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
They have been suspended from practice pending the outcome of their investigation, the statement said.
Lassen is about 85 miles northeast of Missoula.
